1st ISGS Go Promotion Awards: Call for Poster Presentations

The International Society of Go Studies cordially invites you to participate in the 1st ISGS Go Promotion Awards. This is an excellent opportunity for Go enthusiasts, educators, researchers, and students to showcase their innovative ideas, projects, and research related to the education and promotion of the game of Go. Previously, the Worldwide Iwamoto Awards served that role, and its discontinuation has left a void.

The goal of this contest is to promote and share valuable knowledge, strategies, and initiatives that contribute to the growth and development of Go. We encourage participants to present their work in a visually engaging and informative poster format, allowing for easy understanding and discussion among attendees.

Submission Guidelines
Poster presentations should focus on Go projects that introduce Go to a new or wider audience, teach Go to learners of various levels, teach Go in combination with other subjects or other related topics. Presentations can cover a range of themes, such as, but not limited to:

▶ Community outreach and promotion strategies
▶ Case studies and success stories in Go promotion
▶ Innovative teaching methods and resources for Go
▶ Go curriculum development for educational institutions
▶ Research findings on the cognitive and educational benefits of Go
▶ Technology and its impact on Go education
▶ Any other relevant topics contributing to Go education and promotion

Presentation
The printed posters will be displayed at the 1st ISGS Go Conference on 2023 August 31st in Korea. The poster authors are welcome to join the conference at their own cost. However, you may also submit a poster without attending the conference. In addition, the posters will be published on the ISGS website after the conference to allow more practitioners to access them.
