회원 여러분, 안녕하세요.

벌써 12월도 한 주가 지났네요. 지난 2월 학회가 창립되었고, 8월에 국제학술대회가 열렸고, 이제 국제바둑학회의 <바둑학연구> 제2호가 발행되었습니다. 정리하면 한 줄이면 끝나는 일이지만, 과정은 문자 그대로 다사다난했습니다. 그래도 회원 여러분의 관심과 성원 덕에 우리 국제바둑학회의 첫해가 잘 마무리된 것 같습니다.

내년은 우리 학회의 전신인 한국바둑학회가 창립된 지 20년이 되는 해입니다. 그리하여 5월 발간예정인 제3호의 주제를 “바둑학연구, 20년의 회고”로 정했습니다. 바둑을 중심으로 한 다양한 학문영역의 탐구를 가능케 했던 “바둑학연구”의 지금까지의 성과를 돌아보고 앞으로의 발전 방향을 논의하는 계기를 마련하고 싶었습니다. 물론, 현재 진행 중인 연구들에도 언제나 열려있습니다.

또한, 이미 아시다시피 내년 학술대회는 프랑스 툴루즈에서 유럽바둑콩그레스와 함께 열립니다. 조만간 <바둑학연구> 제3호와 학술대회의 논문모집공고가 홈페이지에 게시될 예정입니다. 내년에도 회원 여러분의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드립니다.

Dear members of ISGS,

Already one week has passed since December. The International Society of Go Studies was founded in February, and the International Conference on Go was held in August. Now, the second edition of the Journal of Go Studies is published. To sum up, it takes only one line to complete, but the process has literally been eventful. However, thanks to your interest and support, the first year of the ISGS has ended well.

Next year will be the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Society for Baduk Studies the forerunner of the ISGS. Thus, the third edition, scheduled to be published in May, has been decided as "Go Studies, a Review of 20 Years." We wanted to provide an opportunity to review the achievements made so far in the "Go Studies," which enabled the exploration of various academic fields centered on Go, and to discuss the direction of future development. Of course, we are always open to the ongoing research as well.

Also, as you already know, next year's conference will be held in Toulouse, France with the European Go Congress. In the near future, the third edition of the and the call for the conference will be posted on the website. We ask for your interest and participation next year.
