Call for Submissions: The 4th Go Promotion Awards 2026

/February 24, 2026

We are pleased to announce the 4th ISGS Go Promotion Awards 2026.

These awards invite individuals and teams worldwide to share their knowledge, experience, and effective methods for teaching and promoting the game of Go. We welcome submissions that introduce Go to a wider audience, including people who are unfamiliar with the game.

This year’s awards continue to encourage creative video submissions featuring Go promotion projects, methods, and outreach ideas. Selected submissions will be presented at the conference and may be shared on YouTube to reach a broader audience.

Eligibility

The awards are open to individuals and teams.

Projects that previously won the Iwamoto Awards (2001–2018) or the ISGS Go Promotion Awards (2023–2025) are not eligible. However, past applicants and winners may participate with a different project and a new video submission.

Types of Submission

Applicants may submit entries in either of the following forms:

• A past, current, or planned Go promotion project
• A promotional video designed to attract new players to Go

All entries will be evaluated in a single competition (not separate divisions).

Each participant (individual or team) may submit up to two entries.

Content and Copyright Notice

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all video content (including images, music, and footage) is either original, properly licensed, or used with permission.

By submitting an entry, applicants grant the organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to present the submission at the conference and to publish or share it on the organizer’s website and/or YouTube channel for promotional and archival purposes. Copyright remains with the creator.
