ISGS regrets to announce that the Go Promotion Awards has been cancelled. The Journal of Go Studies was published as scheduled, and a call for papers for the second issue will follow soon.

Update on This Year’s ISGS Conference and Other Announcements

오늘은 좀 아쉬운 소식을 전해드리게 되었습니다. 작년 하반기부터 계획했던 서울에서의 알파고 10주년 기념 학술대회가 올해초 무산이 확정되고,이후 중국 상하이에서 7월에 열리는 응씨배대학생바둑대회와 동시에 학술대회를 개최하기 위해 노력했으나,오늘 중국측으로부터 개최가 불가하다는 연락을 받았습니다.

In Memoriam: Prof. Thomas Y. Hsiang (1948–2026)

We are deeply saddened to share that Prof. Thomas Y. Hsiang, Honorary Advisor of the International Society of Go Studies, passed away on February 12 at the age of 77.
